Penguatan Identitas Budaya Dayak melalui Aksi Literasi di Lembaga Lentera Bahijau: Rumah Baca Bahijau Palangka Raya
Abstract
In the cultural context in Central Kalimantan, culture-based literacy activities are still very limited. This is due to the lack of volunteers in the field of Dayak culture; lack of Dayak cultural literacy facilities and infrastructure; and lack of attention from the government. In response to this, the PkM activities carried out focus on Dayak Cultural Literacy. This activity aims to maintain and preserve cultural identity through Dayak cultural literacy. The method used is Participatory Action Research or PAR by prioritizing research results obtained through participation in the community and then implemented in the form of action. The activities carried out at the Lentera Bahijau Institute: Bahijau Reading House, Palangka Raya City are recruitment of volunteers for Dayak cultural literacy actions; formation of a work team for the establishment of a Dayak cultural literacy corner; efforts to propose a Dayak cultural literacy program as a form of regional development; and pioneering Dayak Language classes. Thus, this activity can improve the ability and skills of Dayak cultural literacy which has an impact on cultural heritage in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan.
