Inculturation and Christian Religious Education: Integration of Christian Values with Local Wisdom in Digital Learning Media

Abstrak

Inculturation in Christian Religious Education (PAK) serves as a strategic step to align Christian values with local wisdom, especially in addressing the challenges of the digital era. This integration provides an opportunity to make learning more contextual, relevant, and meaningful for students. This study aims to explore the concept and application of inculturation in digital learning media that combines elements of local culture with biblical values. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected from books, scientific articles, journals, and relevant educational documents, then analyzed to identify the principles, benefits, and challenges of this integration. The results reveal that digital media based on local wisdom not only enhances students’ interest and engagement but also strengthens their cultural identity without compromising the principles of Christian faith. The use of symbols, stories, and local traditions in learning media helps students understand and apply biblical values in their cultural context.  In conclusion, the integration of Christian values with local wisdom through digital media is an innovative and effective approach for PAK in the digital era. This model is not only relevant to the needs of the digital generation but also supports the character formation of students rooted in faith and culture.
